Application
This project was completed within a tight timeline of just a few weeks and involved multiple stages of development. It began with identifying a core problem and expanding upon it through research and analysis. From there, I developed a solution aimed at creating a user-friendly and efficient application. Each step of the process was focused on ensuring functionality, usability, and a seamless user experience.
The project began with the challenge of identifying an existing application that wasn't living up to its full potential. I chose to analyze the Starbucks app, which, being as well-designed and user-friendly as it is, offered limited opportunities for improvement. This led me to redefine the problem: instead of improving an existing brand, I would create a new one entirely, with a core focus on speed and efficiency.
The goal was to design not only the visual elements of the application but also the functionality behind it. This required multiple drafts and iterations to explore different user flows and interface designs. The result was a streamlined, easy-to-use app concept centered around fast, intuitive interactions delivering a user experience built specifically for convenience and quick service.
The development of this app involved multiple wireframe iterations to determine the most effective and user-friendly layout. After extensive testing and refinement, the final design was selected for its simplicity and efficiency. A fixed navigation bar at the bottom of the screen ensures users always know where they are within the app, reducing confusion and improving usability.
To further streamline the experience, the app remembers the user’s last purchase, allowing for quicker repeat orders. The entire ordering process is designed to be completed in just four straightforward steps: select a drink, choose a location, place the order, and make payment. This minimal, focused flow ensures a fast and intuitive user experience from start to finish.
The video is a walkthrough of the apps functions and animations. This walkthrough does include the onboarding which would occurs for first time users.
